Trip Overview: Discover the Country, Live the Language
Travel from the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires to the rainforests of Iguazú, the colorful mountains of Argentina’s northwest, and the spectacular landscapes of Patagonia. Over nearly four weeks, students will experience the many faces of Argentina through food, adventure, culture, nature, and meaningful encounters with local people. Along the way, they’ll explore neighborhoods, cook Argentine food, hike in the Andes, discover Indigenous and regional cultures, experience Argentine football and music, visit glaciers and waterfalls, and take part in activities that bring them beyond the typical tourist experience.
There are no language classes on this trip. Instead, Spanish is the language of the experience. With native Spanish-speaking trip leaders alongside them, students will put the Spanish they’ve learned at school into practice every day—ordering meals, asking for directions, speaking with local guides and artisans, meeting Argentine students, interviewing people they encounter, and navigating new situations for themselves. The goal isn't simply to learn more Spanish, but to become comfortable using it in the real world. By the time they return home, students will have explored an extraordinary country, made connections with people from another culture, challenged themselves in new environments, and discovered that a language they once studied in a classroom can open the door to an entirely different world.

Group Flight
This trip begins and ends at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA). Students will meet their leaders and the rest of the group in the terminal and will travel on a group flight to Buenos Aires.

Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from Frankfurt
Your adventure starts the moment we meet at Frankfurt International Airport. Our Of the World trip leaders will guide you through check-in and security, and from then on you’ll be traveling together as a team. Settle in, get to know your fellow explorers, and let the excitement build as Argentina awaits.
Days 2-6:
Students begin in Buenos Aires, getting to know Argentina through its people, neighborhoods, food, music and football culture. They’ll explore the city on foot, learn to cook traditional Argentine food, experience the energy of a football match or football culture, discover tango and contemporary Argentine life, and spend time navigating the city themselves. The takeaway: students begin to understand modern Argentina—not just its famous landmarks—and gain confidence using Spanish in everyday situations.
Days 7-9: Iguazú:
In Iguazú, the city gives way to one of the world's great natural environments. Students will experience the Iguazú Falls up close, explore the surrounding rainforest, learn about the incredible biodiversity of the region and examine the challenges of protecting such an important ecosystem. We can also include a local or community-based experience that gives students a perspective beyond the tourist attractions. The takeaway: an understanding of Argentina's natural diversity and the relationship between people, tourism and conservation—while experiencing one of South America's most spectacular landscapes.
Days 10-14: Salta & Jujuy
The northwest offers a completely different side of Argentina, shaped by Andean geography, Indigenous cultures and centuries of history. Students will travel through Quebrada de Humahuaca, visit places such as Purmamarca and Tilcara, explore local markets and communities, and encounter landscapes ranging from colorful mountains to the enormous Salinas Grandes salt flats. They'll learn about Indigenous heritage, regional traditions, food and how geography influences the way people live. The takeaway: students discover that Argentina isn't one single culture or identity, and gain a deeper understanding of the country's Indigenous and Latin American roots—all while having some of the most visually incredible experiences of the trip.
Days 15-18: Mendoza
Mendoza becomes our base for exploring how people have adapted to life in one of Argentina's great mountain environments. Rather than focusing on the region's wine industry, students will discover Andean landscapes, irrigation systems, agriculture, adventure activities and mountain culture. Depending on conditions, this could include rafting, hiking, horseback riding or cycling, alongside an excursion toward the Andes and Aconcagua. The takeaway: students see the connection between geography, water, agriculture and settlement while challenging themselves physically and experiencing a very different pace of life from Buenos Aires.
Days 19-24: Patagonia
The journey finishes in Patagonia, where the scale of the landscape becomes the experience itself. Students will explore Los Glaciares National Park and the Perito Moreno Glacier, hike in the mountains around El Chaltén, and learn about glaciers, climate, geology and the unique ecosystems of southern Argentina. There will also be plenty of time outdoors and opportunities for students to push themselves beyond their comfort zones. The takeaway: a firsthand appreciation for some of the planet's most extraordinary landscapes, an understanding of how they are changing, and the confidence that comes from navigating and exploring them together.
Day 25: Return to Europe
We will enjoy one final day in Buenos Aires relaxing, reflecting and collecting some last minute souvenirs like a mate & bombilla or a jar of rich dulce de leche before jumping on a plane to return home, with a stronger sense of the language, a deep connection to Argentina and a group of close friends.
